Who We Need:
We are seeking a Specialist, Strategy & Business Operations to join our high-performing team of sport & entertainment professionals. The Specialist, Strategy & Business Operations enjoys working as part of a collaborative group, but also has the experience and confidence to thrive working independently, without rigid structure. The ideal candidate prides themselves on their thorough attention to detail, can turn knowledge into insights, can be trusted to always act with integrity, and loves working with people as much as their laptop.
Position Responsibilities & Duties:
Research & Client Strategy
Critically assess client challenges, and lead significant portions of projects to address these challenges with creative thinking and custom solutions
Conduct research via a review of best practices, competitors, and the broader landscape and distill insights based on quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Maintain a pulse on current developments in the marketplace to help identify new areas for business growth
Partnerships & Business Development
Perform category analyses, identifying new prospects & performing in-depth target research for new client partnerships
Maintain accurate records of sales conversations and/or partnership deliverables
Participate in regular team meetings
Adhere to the highest standards of presentation aesthetic when developing client-facing sales materials (primarily in PowerPoint)
Collaboratively develop industry-related content on a bi-weekly basis
Ideate and execute creative and engaging content for company social media accounts
Manage Cimoroni & Company social media profiles, interacting with relevant content, engaging with followers, and providing exceptional customer service
Manage SEO for Cimoroni & Company’s website
Work closely with the CEO to maximize productivity inside and outside the office. This includes managing travel planning, schedule maintenance and email oversight.
Ensure the business runs effectively by managing and/or executing all regular office operations, or by coordinating with other staff, tenants, and outside suppliers to do so. This includes but is not limited to shipping and receiving, cleaning services, office supplies, building security, tenant management, and other service requirements.
Manage an active database of subscriptions, accounts, passwords and other pertinent office information
Work with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure internal and client accounting are proactively managed
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in Business, Marketing, Sport Management, or related field
2+ years of relevant work experience
Strong understanding of the sponsorship industry
Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with self-starter behaviours that match
Trustworthy and professional, can handle confidential information with integrity
Highly organized; with ability to manage people, projects and conflicting timelines
Confident in conducting research, assessing results and providing succinct analysis
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experience developing or managing content for professional social media accounts
Team-oriented approach to work, but can thrive working independently
Proficient in Microsoft office products and online Google suite
Desire to learn, to be challenged, and to grow into additional responsibilities
